Coronavirus Update

Dear Parents,

I am sure that you have heard the news from the Prime Minister yesterday.  Schools are not required to close but we are moving from the ‘contain’ to the ‘delay’ phase of the pandemic.

Anyone in the school community that develops a sustained cough or a temperature above 37 degrees should remain at home for 7 days.  We ask that you inform us of the self-isolation via phone or email and that you do not come to school at any point.

In line with population distancing measures, however, we are postponing assemblies until further notice.

The Government has now advised against overseas travel for schools.  We are currently examining all of the planned UK trips and will communicate any changes as soon as we are able.

We will continue to promote good hand washing and hygiene routines with the children as put forward by Public Health England.  We will also continue to update you as and when we receive further information.  You can see the latest guidance through the following link:

We do not currently have any diagnosed cases of COVID-19 at any Aspire schools and we thank you for your support and vigilance during this difficult time.

Best regards,

The Aspire Educational Trust
